Top Ukrainian P&O Centres Unite
An Alliance of Leading Prosthetics and Orthotics Centres has been established in Ukraine.
Nineteen leading P&O centres signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish an Alliance of Leading Prosthetics and Orthotics Centres. The Alliance aims to consolidate efforts to provide Ukrainians with high-quality prosthetic and orthotic services.
Protez Hub coordinates and provides organizational support for the Alliance.
We established the Alliance to address current challenges and to support systemic development of the Ukrainian prosthetics and orthotics industry.
Together, the members of the Alliance provide over 50% of all prosthetic and orthotic devices in Ukraine, funded by the state programme each year, ensuring large-scale support to injured defenders and civilians.
The Alliance’s priority areas are:
- Transparency and accountability: creating fair and open conditions for commercial activity in the field of prosthetics and orthotics provision.
- Timeliness and quality: ensuring patients have timely access to high-quality services under the state programme, whilst minimizing bureaucratic barriers.
- Sustainable support: implementing a continuous cycle of specialized care — from initial consultation and product manufacture to long-term follow-up.
- Expert involvement: engaging leading specialists in the development of industry standards and participation in shaping state policy.
